ComeUnity Stylized Wedding Session | Athens, Georgia
One of the perks of the ComeUnity workshop was a fully stylized bridal couple session. An entire team came together to create a dreamy scene complete with elegant furniture pieces and breathtaking flowers for us to photograph.
Our stylish bride and groom had actually already wed in Florida. I was amazed by our “bride.” From what I know, she was not a professional model, but boy, she rocked it like she was. Matter of fact, she made me think of this video of YouTube where a guy demonstrates fast posing during a catalog shoot. Beyond her posing, she showed extreme tenacity when it came to dealing with the humidity. Posing in high heels and a fitted dress is hard work and she quickly began to not feel great. She’d pause for a bit as we hydrated her and cooled her down with damp rags. But quickly she’d be back up and working her magic. Seriously, this girl impressed me.
Next week I’ll share what I seem to want to call our attendee “family photos” from the ComeUnity workshop. I’m pretty sure that gives you a hint at how I felt we connected while at the retreat. I look forward to sharing those and a brief review.
Welcome Baby Braxton | Lacey, WA Newborn Photographer
Braxton’s big sister, was born on my birthday three years ago and this year, I was thrilled to spend my birthday taking Braxton’s newborn photos. As I snuggled him, I was overwhelmed by how much he looks like his big sister. Now normally this isn’t such a big deal, but you see in this situation it’s quite the testament to the plan that was in place for this family. Both Brynlee and Braxton join the Gurrad’s through the blessings of adoption. Each from different families. So you see, the fact that they look like each other is a very big deal. It has been such a joy watching this family grow and I’m thankful that I’ve been granted the honor of photographing these two amazing children and I look forward to watching the grow over the years.
Miss Vivian Turns Two | Snoqualmie Photographer
When asked to describe Vivian in three words, her mom told me “silly, loud and cheesy.” So I think Vivian thought it would be funny to be “stoic, quiet and refined” during her session. She didn’t have me fooled though, because I caught her mischievous little grins from time to time. She especially loved playing pretend with Mr. Teddy, who didn’t mind one bit wearing a necklace or two.
Claire & Ryan Stylized Engagement Session | Athens, Georgia
While away in Georgia at a workshop, I had the opportunity to photograph a stylized engagement shoot. Now Claire and Ryan are not actually engaged…quite yet, but my guess is they will be in the future. What an adorably, sweet couple with a rockin’ sense of style.
